18months Fellfrom Cruiseship

Cruise Line Not Responsible for Toddler's Death

Surveillance Video Released of Final Moments Before Tragedy

Family Speaks Out After Losing Beloved Child

CNN has reported that Royal Caribbean Cruises has been found not responsible for the tragic death of an 18-month-old girl who fell from the company’s ship, Freedom of the Seas.

The grandfather who was with Chloe Wiegand when she fell has spoken out, saying that he is devastated by the loss of his granddaughter. The family has filed a lawsuit against Royal Caribbean, but the company has denied any wrongdoing.

The incident occurred in July 2019 when Chloe Wiegand fell from the 11th floor of the Freedom of the Seas while her grandfather was holding her. Surveillance video shows that the girl slipped from her grandfather's arms and fell through an open window.

The family has expressed their outrage over the incident, saying that Royal Caribbean should have done more to prevent it. The company has said that it is not responsible for the girl's death, but that it will cooperate with the investigation.

The lawsuit filed by the family alleges that Royal Caribbean was negligent in failing to provide adequate safety measures, including window locks. The company has denied these allegations, saying that the windows on the ship meet or exceed industry standards.

The trial is expected to begin in June 2023.
